2018 Pinot Noir Bundle
These three Pinot Noirs are characterized by their elegance and sophisticated style. They each bring the complex flavor profiles from their respective AVAs and are aged in 100% French Oak.
2018 Pinot Noir Walala Vineyard, Sonoma Coast AVA
In the glass, the appearance is a deep, dark purple with great clarity. Aromas of mossy forest floor mingle with strawberry jam, red fruit leather, plum and a hint of bay leaf. The flavor profile delivers savory plum, cranberry and cherry reduction. The mouthfeel is light and mouthwatering. The tannin structure from the oak influence and whole-cluster fermentation is holding nicely and will improve with age. A nice, long and persistent finish of tart cherry.
2018 Pinot Noir, Sun Chase Vineyard, Petaluma Gap AVA
This robust wine greets you with a medium crimson/garnet hue in the glass. Aromas of dark plum, leather, cocoa, and blueberry intermingle with notes of sweet oak, hickory and shiitake mushroom. The flavor profile is complex, with layers of Bing cherry, raspberry, homemade cranberry sauce, wet stone and vanilla. This is a light-bodied wine with a finish that, although short, delivers medium acid and tannins. Although approachable now, as we have seen with previous vintages, this wine will improve with age.
2018 Pinot Noir Rancho Coyote Vineyard, Russian River Valley AVA
This wine’s bright purple color is eye-catching. The rosepetal-dominant nose also delivers aromas of white blossom, currant, white pepper, citrus rind and cherry cola. The flavor profile layers high-toned notes of cherry, cranberry and Fuji apple with nuances of crushed gravel and white pepper. The tannins are light, bright and approachable. The finish is clean, with pleasant acidity, which will lengthen with aging.
