Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Winemaker Andy Jones: By blocking malolactic fermentation and fermenting this wine in stainless steel, we are able to preserve a beautiful freshness to the wine. Striking scents of tropical banana and pineapple blend with floral notes of jasmine and hydrangea. Fresh flavors of golden delicious apple, guava, mango and pear introduce a bright acidity, which makes this wine very enjoyable on a hot day.
Vineyard Notes
The Trio Vineyard sits off the western Yountville bench that is located about 2 miles south of the town of Yountville. Trio Vineyard’s rich, dark soil and warmer mid-valley climate are ideal for Dijon clone Chardonnay. The Deux Chevaux Vineyard is a 60-acre vineyard situated northeast of the town of Yountville. The vineyard is planted with Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc.
