The 2018 Sun Chase Vineyard Pinot Noir is a best-of-barrel selection, consisting of three clones that were fermented separately. Each barrel was selected to make this distinct, site-specific wine. The wine presents a medium weight and subtle tannin structure. Flavors of tart red cherry, strawberry seed and roses are a pleasant introduction to the lingering finish.

Cabernet Franc is known for its aromatics, and this wine is no exception. The dark, cherry-red color divulges the aromas of wet slate, lavender, violet, kirsch and rhubarb pie. The flavor profile is herbaceous, with floral and mossy notes giving way to rose petal and confectionary rhubarb, with hints of leather and cardamom. The tannins are strong and plush. The finish is both lingering, and expressive.

This is the fourth release of our Signature Collection Bordeaux blend from the Deux Chevaux Vineyard. This limited-production wine represents the “best of barrel” of each varietal. Aromatics deliver black pepper, plum, black currant and graphite. On the palate, notes of crushed rock, lush blackberry, clove, baking spices, lavender and dark chocolate evolve with every sip. There is a brightness to the fruit profile, with notes of cinnamon, raspberry, juicy blackberry and licorice. The finish is long lasting, with resolved and approachable tannins, pleasant minerality.

This wine is all about the power of Petit Verdot, as immediately evident by the deep, dark plum color to the rim of the glass. The aromatics are deep and brooding, with notes of dark chocolate, caramel and candied pecans, and a hint of truffles and even graham cracker smores. Flavors of blueberry, boysenberry and blackberry combine with graham cracker crumble, toasted pecan and dark chocolate. The plush and supple mid-palate leads to a mouthcoating of expansive tannins for a long and firm finish.Cellar this wine and you will be rewarded for your patience.

Tamber Bey's original Signature Collection wine, first released in 2002. This Cabernet Sauvignon from our Estate Vineyard exemplifies the integrity and attributes of the Oakville Appellation. This wine shows before it tells, with a dark garnet hue that extends to the rim of the glass. The nose delivers additional aromas of baking spice, mushroom and a hint of dry earth layered with notes of vanilla, molasses, cigar box, leather and cedar. The flavor profile makes its introduction with dark cherry, high-acid red and black fruits, herbaceous notes and a hint of licorice, tobacco and spice. The Merlot contributes fleshy and primary fruit characteristics, and smooths out the tannins. The Petit Verdot adds concentration and weight to the wine. The tannins are approachable and the finish is bright.
