A great evening of wine, food and friends
Vintner Dinner in Texas
january 12th, 2010
We started the year off with a spectatular dinner at Ellerbe's Fine Food restaurant in Fort Worth, Texas with a sold out (waiting list!) evening featuring foods paired with the entire lineup of Tamber Bey wines. The Menu featured Shrimp En Brochette and a housemade Panetta, Heirloom Tomato and Crispy Potato to go with the TBV Chardonnay and Merlot, followed by a Rabbiot Terrine and the TBV Rabicano, then a main course of Truffled Pappardelle of Sweetbreads and Panned Pork paired with our Oakville 'Estate' Cabernet. A beautiful confections plate was offered at the end with our Deux Chevaux Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. An outstanding evening at a great place with wonderful people.
The Most Interesting man in the world
Napa Wine Auction Winner
November 20th - 22nd 2009
During the NVV Napa Wine Auction in June, Tamber Bey auctioned off a spectacular weekend of wine, dinning and racetrack racing at Golden Gate fields. And the winner was Jose Nazar from Los Angeles (originally from Chile), and hosted three of his friends to private wine tastings, a vintner dinner at the Tamber Bey estate, and a full day of throughbred racing at the Golden Gate fields in Berkeley, California. Getting to know Jose was such an experience that Jenn and I affectionately now refer to Jose as 'The Most intersting man in theWorld". Jose by any accounts could also be known as the most generous man in the world as he really goes out of his way to let everyone in his presence to have a great time - which we all did!
What a weekend!

tAMBER BEY FALL RELEASE PARTY
OCTOBER 3RD, 2009
This first weekend in October hosted our 6th annual Fall Release party at the Tamber Bey Estate in Yountville. The day could not have been more perfect as the weather was spectacular, the paella has 'hot', and the music was hip, hoopin' and groovin' all day long. We celebrated our newest wine in the Tamber Bey lineup - the 2007 Deux Chevaux Vineyard 'Rabicano' - a Bordeaux blend of estate grown cabernet, merlot, franc and petite verdot, carefully aged 20 months in french oak. This wine along with the very colorful and freshly cooked paella was a perfect paring for a meal by the estate pool. And back by popular demand, the 'Dream Farmers' played rock and jazz that filled the early fall air. You could almost see the grapes dancing! What a fun day!
2007 Tamber Bey Deux Chevaux Vineyard
Rabicano
October 1st, 2009
Tamber Bey's new estate-grown wine, Rabicano (pronounced Rab-i-kawno), is the result of 10 years of planning. This wine is a masterful blend that exhibits the unique traits of the Deux Chevaux Vineyard: a strong core of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with the bolstering power of Petit Verdot and the aromatics of Cabernet Franc. Rabicano has a deep, black-fruited, juicy core, rich tannins and a lasting finish. This wine shows all the richness of the vintage, with a deep black-fruited juicy core that has become the hallmark of 2007. The wine has added dimension as it has aged, fleshing out the finish and migrating from sheer hedonistic pleasure to a more nuanced expression of the plot from which it arose.

"Day at the races"
June 13th, 2009
Tamber Bey hosted a full "Day at the Races" at Golden Gate Fields for all 'EQQWine Club Members, right on the San Francisco Bay. The day included not only more food and wine (Tamber Bey library wines - of course) and 11 horse races, but Golden Gate Fields also held the World Championship Weiner Dog races between the horse races. Horse race #4 was named for Tamber Bey Vineyards which was a four furlong race of two year old thoroughbred fillies, and the winning horse was "Purtian Baker" bringing in $38 of winnings for a $2 bet! Who won the weiner race - "Sammy Davis" was the little weiner that took the grand prize. What a fun day!

2009 napa valley wine auction
June 3rd through 6th, 2009
Tamber Bey participated in more events that we could count in this year's Napa Valley Vintners Wine Auction week. But the Grand Finale was the Saturday night 'LIVE' auction, where bids went up to as much as $1.1M for special wine and travel related lots - all for the benefit of local Napa County charties. Pictures left are Tamber Bey's proprietor Barry Waitte and General Manger Jennifer Nice, with guests and special friends David and Claudia Shipman at the LIVE auction. That evening featured over 40 Live lots, including one sponsored by Tamber Bey that included wine tasting through the Napa Valley vineyards by horseback! The evening was also deep in food, wine and at the end dancing into the moonlight. Great fun for all!

New Release
April 27th, 2009
Tamber Bey announces the release of it's flagship wine, the 2006 "Estate" Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. In it's 5th release, this wine lives up to the high standards of the Oakville Appellation with the richness and character that only this region can produce. Winemaker Thomas Brown states "This wine is all about power. This exquisite Oakville Cabernet is dark ruby in color with a concentrated nose of plums, violets, cedar shavings and earth. Complex and compelling with raspberry jam, cocoa and spice followed by a layered mid palate of dark cherries, black currants and licorice. The long full-bodied finish offers red fruits, vanilla and integrated smooth tannins. Harmoniously balanced, this wine drinks well now but those with patience will be greatly rewarded".

Tamber bey Spring Release Party
Friends and Family Celebrate
April 18th, 2009
Mother nature gave us the most perfect day to celebrate the new release of our '06 Tamber Bey 'Estate' Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon. Friends and family from all over came to the Tamber Bey estate and had a very relaxing day at the guest house overlooking the namesake vineyard of the wine that was being released. The critics of the day stated simply that the '06 estate cab is the best yet - with depth, flavor and balance that is a noted true characteristic of the Oakville applellation.
