2017 Sauvignon Blanc, Lizzy's Vineyard

This wine is elegant, with great acidity and a finish that leaves you wanting more, thanks to exquisite fruit and an ageing program that utilizes stainless steel and acacia wood barrels. Aromas of ginger, grapefruit, lemongrass and fresh kiwi transition into floral notes of lavender and white peach. Green apple and starfruit flavors give way to a refreshing yet long-lasting mouthfeel and texture that is framed by a vibrant acidity.

Vineyard Notes
“Lizzie’s Vineyard” sits on the Oakville Cross Road, just east of the Napa River Bridge. It shares its portion of the Napa River with Opus One, its neighbor to the west. The soils of this 100-acre parcel mirror quite closely the clay–rich soils of Pomerol, making Merlot the first/best choice for the site. However, over the years, pockets more suitable to the planting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc have been identified.
