Our low-yielding vines produced intense flavors with great freshness and rich, ripe character wrapped up into a package that resembled our 2005 vintage. Dark scarlet to the edge of the glass, scents of violet, herbs and blue fruit soar from the glass. Notable but also prominent tannins and a perfect amount of natural acidity combine with a palate full of rich blueberry and dark cherry flavors, barrel spice and textbook Oakville camphor and dried herbs. The overall balance in this wine gives you a glimpse into its core: pure, deep and lush. Look for this wine to come together with a little bottle age to fill in with further complexities. Like previous vintages, this wine will drink well with some short-term bottle age or decant time but will reward those who can wait 3 to 10 years. 

100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged 19 months in French oak.
